Well, we’re officially getting into that time of year. I feel a bit guilty posting this before Thanksgiving (it’s such an underappreciated holiday), but I wanted to get this out before the Black Friday and holiday shopping rush. This is also my first ever gift guide on this blog! Despite the fact that Espresso and Ambition is over a year old (it hit one year on November 11!), I didn’t do a gift guide last year.
This guide is kind of all over the place. It’s pretty much all gifts for college-aged or twenty-something gals, but they range pretty dramatically in price range – from $5 to $200. Let’s get into it!
Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC
Crossbody bags are a lifesaver. I feel like this style is a pretty popular one, and I’m a big fan of the hardware on this black and gold style.
Too Faced Boss Lady Beauty Agenda
This is absolutely the cutest idea. It’s both a makeup palette and a planner all in one, so you can treat the #girlboss beauty queen in your life to the best of both worlds.
Fujifilm Instax Mini 9
Polaroids are an adorable way to decorate a room, and these cameras are actually super affordable, clocking in at just over $50. I feel like so many of my friends either have one of these or want one.
Hoe on the Go Bag
I’m a big fan of Pinch Provisions Mini-mergency kits, and this is essentially the “overnight stay” version of that kit. It contains a mini toothbrush, deodorant, a makeup wipe, a change of underwear, and more. It’s a perfect gift for that friend who’s always at her boyfriend’s place.
Victoria’s Secret Pajamas
I honestly don’t know a single girl who would be disappointed to receive pajamas. There’s something about wearing a cute matching set that makes you feel like you have your life together, even if it’s a lazy Saturday and you’re still wearing them at 2 p.m.
Patagonia Vest
No matter who you’re shopping for, Patagonia is a really solid choice. It’s a good buy for the girl who’s super adventurous and goes hiking every weekend, and for the girl whose idea of “hiking” is walking around the block to get Starbucks. A win-win.
Coffee mugs
This is a super-cheap gift option (perfect for a Secret Santa). There are so many different designs – Etsy also has a ton of super-personalized ones. This means that you can really customize the gift to the interests of whoever you’re getting the gift for.
Mark and Graham Leather Tech Envelope
Not gonna lie, I’ve had my eye on one of these for over a year. They’re just so great for efficiently carrying all of the essentials – an iPad, phone, charger, headphones, credit cards, and more. I also adore the personalization on the front.
Any book
If you know the book preferences of your recipient, this one’s a little easier. Otherwise, any funny book is sure to be a hit. This one’s “milk and vine,” which is basically a parody of Rupi Kaur poetry that’s all about famous vines. If you’re trying to make your recipient laugh her tail off, this is how you do it.
Kate Spade Tote
For Kate Spade, these totes are surprisingly affordable. Tote bags are also just the type of thing that always gets used, especially when they’ve got a cute saying on them like this one does.
Sugarfix by Baublebar Earrings
You can never go wrong with statement earrings. These are from Target but look like something that’s double the price. They also have a huge range of necklaces, bracelets, and rings if earrings aren’t your girl’s thing.
UGG Slippers
THE MOST COMFORTABLE THING. Like pajamas, no one’s gonna be disappointed with slippers, especially when they’re as comfortable as these. Another perk of buying slippers as compared to other types of shoes is that if you don’t know their exact size, the slippers will probably still fit well anyways.
Ban.do Glitter Bomb Cocktail Bundle
This adorable set comes with both a cocktail shaker and two glasses, perfect for the girl who fancies herself an amateur bartender or the friend that just turned 21. (PS: That’s gonna be me in a week! Woohoo!)
What Do You Meme? Game
The ideal gift for your favorite queen of Internet humor. If you’ve ever played Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity, this is basically a spin-off in which you play cards that best describe the picture. It’s simultaneously hilarious and completely inappropriate.
I hope this gift guide helped give you some ideas for the upcoming holiday season! I do think gift guides are really only a starting block; they’re perfect if you don’t know the person well, but one of my favorite things about holiday shopping is finding that ~perfect~ gift for a friend or family member. Sadly, gift guides can’t be tailored to the individual tastes of every person you buy gifts for. While these gift ideas may not be the perfect fit for whoever you’re shopping for, hopefully they’ll get you on the path to finding that perfect gift.
Happy holiday shopping, y’all!

My sister has an Instax camera. The pictures always come out adorable. I love how it’s a surprise of what the pictures will look like.
