And just like that, it’s December. With Thanksgiving break taking up a week of the semester, November almost doesn’t feel like a full month. Regardless, there were so many things I fell in love with this month. Between my birthday and picking up a new fitness routine, I’ve found a lot of new things that I’m loving.
Reputation
I caved and bought the album on iTunes, even though I told myself I would wait until it was released on Spotify. This is the first time I’ve bought an album off of iTunes in seven years. But honestly, I regret nothing (although it’s out on Spotify now if you haven’t heard it yet). I think it’s an amazing album, and I’ve basically been jamming out to it nonstop since it came out. My favorite song off the album is probably “I Did Something Bad,” but that’s closely followed by like five others.
Bath and Body Works Sweater Weather Candle
This is the perfect “November” candle. You’re past pumpkin season, but not quite ready to break out the Christmas candles. This has the nice cozy vibe of a fall candle – I can’t really describe what it smells like (it’s kinda earthy?), but I’m obsessed with it.
Fabletics leggings
I love love love workout leggings. Well, I love pretty much any workout clothing, to be honest. But I discovered the Fabletics leggings during Black Friday and I think they’re my new favorites. They’re a lot like Lululemon leggings, in that they’re a little thicker than Nike leggings and have a nice slimming effect (aka exactly what you want when you’re working out). They’re also significantly cheaper – I got a couple pairs during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale rush, and I think I ended up getting a total of four pairs for what I’d normally pay for one pair of Lulu leggings.
310 Nutrition protein powder
I’ve tried a few vegan protein powders before, but I’ve never really been impressed with them. They either haven’t tasted good or have had too much fat/carbs to really be considered a ~protein~ powder. The 310 powder is different – it’s only 90 calories and has 15 grams of protein. They also taste amazing – I got samples of the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ones and ended up buying a huge bag of the strawberry.
Crunch Fitness
Yeah, there’s a fitness theme to this favorites post. I joined Crunch about halfway through the month, and I’m really loving it. I’ve never really thought of myself as a “gym person,” but I’m slowly getting more acclimated and finding the workouts I like best. I’ve also started writing my own workouts, which is so fun. I’m also pretty good at it, if I do say so myself – I’m pretty dead by the time I finish them. I’ve also started posting them on Twitter, so follow along on there if you want to see what I’m up to in the gym each week!
Apple Watch
Can something be on your “monthly” favorites if you’ve only had it for 3 of the 30 days of the month? It probably shouldn’t be, but I’m including it anyways. I got an Apple Watch for my birthday, and y’all, it is SO. COOL. I love that it tracks everything from my movement to my standing time to my heart rate, and I’ve had fun setting up additional apps to track my calories and sleep. I also love how it allows me to separate from my phone for a little bit – I can see the most essential things on the Watch so I feel no guilt in leaving my phone in my bag while I’m getting coffee with a friend.
Now bring on the Christmas music and peppermint hot chocolate!
xo, Taylor
I really dislike how much I want an Apple Watch. I definitely don’t need one and sure as hell can’t justify buying one – whenever I see one my brain is like “it’s got serious aesthetics, you need that in your life.” I really don’t though, and I smack my normal watch off walls and counters all the time, so I don’t think I should be allowed an Apple Watch.
Ohhh, minty hot chocolates! That’s one of the best things about December.
Do you order your fabletics stuff directly through the site or with their membership type set up? I have always wanted to try a pair from them!
I actually bought them from a Fabletics store! I’m thinking about buying a membership though
I was listening to I Did Something Bad as I read this!😂 It is by far the best song on the album, but every time I listen to it I become obsessed with another one. Definitely worth the wait – but she better not make us wait so long again! Haha.
