One month of 2018 down, 11 to go! This month hasn’t been one of my favorites – I’ll be going into a touch more detail on that in my monthly newsletter, but I’ve tried to make the best of it nonetheless. With that being said, I’m excited to share some of the things I’ve fallen in love with this month.
Headspace
I’m so excited that I’ve been doing so well with this New Year’s Resolution – I’ve been meditating every day since December 31 (yes, I did get a head start). The Headspace app is fantastic for this – I love their approach to meditation. It’s a very relaxing process; instead of focusing on “clearing your mind,” you simply focus on letting thoughts drift by instead of dwelling on them. I’ve also noticed that morning meditation has made the rest of my day smoother. I have a better control on my emotions (which has been a struggle this month, let me tell you) and I’m better at stepping back and taking a deep breath when necessary.
Mark & Graham Luggage Set
I’ve been dreaming of getting hardside luggage for ages. When this luggage set went on sale in December, I finally bit the bullet and got it. I adore the brown details on the corners, and of course, I love the monogram on the front. I’ll never mix up my suitcase again! I will say, these suitcases do scratch kind of easily, but it’s honestly not all that noticeable unless you get super close to them.
ProYo
I never thought I’d find another ice cream that I love as much as I love Halo Top, but this stuff has become a new favorite. A ½ cup serving has 10 grams of protein, and they have some really great flavors – dark chocolate toffee is my all-time fave. It does taste like something that’s high in protein (I don’t know how to describe what I mean by that, lol), but if you’re accustomed to protein shakes/protein bars, you probably won’t mind that taste all that much. I’m kind of immune to it at this point.
Hydroflask
I’m so late to the party with this one. I’ve seen people raving about Hydroflask water bottles for months now, but it’s only this month that I finally bit the bullet and retired my old Camelbak. I regret absolutely nothing. I got the 32-ounce version, which is the perfect size for me. I also cannot stress how long this keeps water cold for. As I’m writing this post, I’m drinking out of my Hydroflask, that I filled with ice and water around 24 hours ago. There’s still ice in there. Amazing.
Hip-hop/rap music
If you look at my December/January playlists, they definitely feature way more hip-hop/rap music than usual. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve spontaneously gotten more into that type of music lately. Probably because I always need something to hype me up while I’m driving, and a rap song with a solid beat does just that.
And that’s January for you! What have you been loving this month?
xo, Taylor
