I swear, time moved faster in the past few weeks than it ever has. April flew by. I literally didn’t even notice that May had started until like May 3, and that was because I realized that graduation was the day after that! But despite how fast the month went, I had a ton of things I was loving this month.
If you follow me on Instagram, you might’ve seen that my parents got a new puppy recently! She’s a golden retriever and is simultaneously completely adorable and an absolute terror. Anyways, I’ve been going home quite a bit recently, which has allowed me a lot of puppy playtime.
I’m such a creature of habit when it comes to cooking. Seriously, I cook tofu, rice, and broccoli with teriyaki sauce for 50% of my meals. I’ve started getting HelloFresh boxes every so often, and it’s really nice to have some variety in my meals. Plus, it gives me inspiration for other dishes, so even when it’s not a week that I’m getting a HelloFresh box, the previous boxes help me come up with dishes that are slightly more interesting than my standard ones.
I am terrible about buying shoes. I love buying clothes and consistently have way too many clothing items, but I rarely buy shoes – usually, my old shoes have to be literally falling apart by the time I get around to buying new ones. That’s what happened this time around – the soles of my go-to sandals were falling off the shoes. So I bought these cute sandals from J. Crew Factory, and I’ve been wearing them basically non-stop ever since. They’re super simple and match with everything.
I am on such a Gymshark kick lately. I’m obsessed with their leggings and crop tops, but my new favorite item has to be their Elite sports bras. Honestly, it’s like a mini boob job in a sports bra. The cut is just super flattering but also really supportive. I have the berry color now, but I want to get it in white and light pink as well once they restock.
I just started this show at the end of April, and I am hooked. Seriously, I watched all of season 1 over the course of two days. As someone who doesn’t usually get super attached to TV shows, this is a big deal.
April was a wild month, and considering I’m currently in South Africa, I have a feeling that May is going to be even wilder. I can’t wait!
