i don’t do workouts exclusively focused on abs and cardio all that often (i usually throw them on at the end of other workouts instead of dedicating a whole day to them) but sometimes it’s fun to throw a wrench in your normal split, ya know? this is a nice big mix of different bits of cardio to get your heart rate up, with a fun lil ab circuit thrown in in the middle of it, guaranteed to burn some serious calories and also strengthen your core a little bit too (aka if you’re looking for visible abs, this is what ya wanna do). enjoy!
~the workout~
10 minutes incline walk
10 minutes treadmill sprints
- :30 sprint, :30 rest
ab circuit – 3 sets
- 10 circle crunches (left and right is one rep)
- 12 leg lefts with scissor
- 16 russian twists w/ aerobic step stacks
- 16 sit-ups w/ aerobic step stacks
- :30 normal, left, and right planks
classic hiit (:40 on, :20 off, repeat 2x)
- floor tap to star jump
- criss cross to oblique crunch
- bear walk to 4 mountain climbers
- burpees
- high knees
